About Us
At Deer Creek Academy, we believe each student has the potential for success and should be afforded the opportunity to learn in an environment suited to their needs.
Students who attend the Academy want to be here and have undergone an application process to ensure this is the best fit for them.
The Academy operates on a system of mutual respect in an atmosphere of kindness and support. Students often come to the Academy from difficult situations and backgrounds; so there are several services and counselors available to assist students in becoming healthy individuals in all aspects of life.
Deer Creek Academy serves students in grades 9-12 that are at-risk of not graduating from high school. This can be for various reasons such as, but not limited to:
- Attendance issues
- Credit deficiencies
- Behavior difficulties
- Pregnant or parenting
- Involvement with the court system
- Dropouts, seeking to get back into school
We offer block scheduling, smaller class sizes, direct instruction, credit recovery, counseling, and other services. Our goal is to provide a Pathway to Success for all students.
