Academy students took a field trip to the Oklahoma City Zoo last Wednesday, May 8th.
There were several other schools at the Zoo, but it wasn't too crowded. We had plenty of time and space to see all the animals. The silverback gorilla was seen punching the roof and chasing the other males away from his favorite hangout, young elephants splashing around in their pond, and the chimpanzees letting it all hang out. Half of the students went home with souvenirs of the animals they saw.
